Grown for centuries in Bolivia (Central South America), the fruit on this beautiful plant turns from brilliant purple to yellow to orange, and finally to red when ripe, with all stages of the pepper present on the plant at once. Everbearing plants have purple foliage and flowers yielding 1 inch cone-shaped fruits that grow upright.
The Bolivian Rainbow Pepper somewhat resemble Christmas lights because of their shape and their bright colors.
